Welford Park cricket club would like to thank everyone who attended and helped with the very successful evening on Saturday 7th March 2015 especially the Social Club for making their facility available to us and all the people who cooked the food and made the puddings.

The evening was attended by just over 70 people and the club’s aim of raising enough money to cover the repair of the sight screens that have been destroyed by the wind this winter seems to have been achieved.

Amazingly the James Barrett stable was in sparkling form, with 6 horses running on the night, he had 5 winners and 1 second so walked away with lots of prizes. Everyone seemed happy as he left prior to the Auction race which was won by owner Alex Woodward with Amy Folland being the Jockey.

We will run the event again in 2016 around the same date (which ever is a free 6 nations weekend at the start of March) and we look forward to seeing you all again next year plus a few of the people who missed out this year as they were away or double booked.

Many thanks to everyone again,

Ian Herrington on Behalf of the Welford Park C. C. Fund raising committee.
